Axioms project one

In this project, I got to explore depth of field and shutter speed and experimented with my Canon Rebel DSLR.

1. Shallow and deep depth of field

F/5.6, 1/20 sec, ISO 1600

F/36, 1.6 sec, ISO 1600

This is the best that I could do for now. I was delightfully surprised to see how changing the aperture would result in such a different photo. Notice how much longer the shutter had to stay open for a usable photo to come out at f-stop 36.

F/36, 1 sec, ISO 1600

F/5.6, 1/40 sec, ISO 1600

Next, I tried just one subject to see how the aperture would make a difference in a shallow depth of field seen below and a wide depth of field parentheses top photo)

2. Motion with a fast and slow shutter

1/1000 of a second.

⅛ of a second.

A middle photo:
Shutter speed 1/60 sec, ISO 1600.

Bonus photo:

Below are some bonus pics I really like the ghosting one. I accomplish these bonus photos by zooming in while the shutter was open.

Both of these bonus photos show motion off really well. I obtained this effect by zooming all the shutter was open. The top photo was at a faster shutter speed as I zoomed in on the way, while the bottom photo was at a slower shutter speed and I was able to get a clear image of both zoomed in and zoomed out creating an awesome "ghost".
